Senior Consultant Akila Forde will speak at the 6th annual Sadie T.M. Alexander Conference for Economics and related fields (SACE). This year’s conference theme is “Disrupting the Status Quo: Creating Economic Power through Collaboration and Narrative Shifts.” The conference aims to celebrate how underrepresented populations have worked to solve pressing economic and social issues. In the past, their exclusion led to harmful outcomes, hindering their economic power. Through their collective work, they have developed new avenues for progress. Ms. Forde will speak on the panel “Demystifying the Career and Academic Journey,” which aims to showcase the different pathways that a degree in economics can open.
This panel aligns with Bates White’s commitment to fostering, maintaining, and supporting a diverse workforce and inclusive culture. A comprehensive strategic plan guides the firm’s diversity and inclusion programs and provides tangible actions for progress.
