David Barth has over a decade of experience analyzing alleged and admitted anticompetitive conduct. He specializes in examining and assessing firms’ behavior and market outcomes. His expertise spans cartel and monopolization matters and includes analyses of class certification, liability, and damages. He leads project teams that perform data analysis and review discovery materials, and works with counsel and testifying experts through all phases of litigation. He has significant courtroom experience distilling complex economic and econometric analysis into testimony, cross-examination, argument, and trial exhibits. He also provides client support on summary judgment, Daubert, and discovery issues.
Rachel Grinberg has over a decade of experience directing econometric and empirical analyses in complex, data-intensive matters involving alleged anticompetitive conduct, damages assessments, and insurance coverage disputes. She has coauthored expert reports, testified during proceedings regarding pharmaceutical-based losses, and provided settlement and mediation support. She also leads econometric modeling teams in price-fixing and merger matters, executes complex insurance allocations, and regularly works with counsel and testifying experts throughout the various phases of litigation.
Slava Zayats co-heads the Healthcare Practice at Bates White. He has over a decade of experience as an economist specializing in antitrust matters involving competition, market definition, and market power, with a particular focus on the healthcare industry. He leads economic analyses and serves as an expert in numerous merger and monopolization matters, including on behalf of the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, state agencies, insurers, providers, and other private entities.
