Laura Finn is a senior member of the Antitrust and Competition Practice at Bates White. She has extensive experience in running large, high-profile cases in the technology, healthcare, electronics, and construction industries, among others. She has led a wide range of quantitative and qualitative analyses to support expert economic testimony, including analyzing large transactional data sets and identifying major flaws in opposing experts’ data analyses. Her expertise spans cartel, mergers, and monopolization cases and includes analyses of liability, damages, and class certification.
Amanda Kurzendoerfer specializes in economic analysis of consumer financial data and has provided expert testimony on matters involving deferred interest financing, compensation discrimination, and the regulatory investigation of a large public utility company. Dr. Kurzendoerfer advises government agencies, law firms, and industry clients on issues related to data analysis, statistical sampling, damages, fair lending, and settlement support. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and has more than 10 years of consulting experience in the private sector.
Kevin Pflum specializes in industrial organization and competition economics, with a focus on the healthcare industry. He has significant experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, including analyzing the competitive effects of consolidation, monopolization, and monopsonization. He has been retained as an expert on behalf of the Federal Trade Commission and the Rhode Island Attorney General. He has also performed extensive research in the industrial organization of healthcare markets. In addition to his extensive experience with the healthcare sector, Dr. Pflum has performed economic analyses in a variety of industries including cable TV, building materials, software, and airlines.
Wesley Reppert has considerable experience building, processing, and managing large, complex data sets for economic analysis. He has led multiple project teams to provide database development and management, economic analysis, damages analysis, discovery and deposition support, and industry research for clients through all stages of litigation. His experience covers matters in the electronics, healthcare, chemical, and transportation industries, among others. He is active in the Antitrust and Competition, Healthcare, and Life Sciences Practices at Bates White.
