Partner Joseph Farrell has been named to Global Competition Review’s (GCR) inaugural group of Antitrust Academics. GCR deems the members of this list the 25 “most influential competition scholars” around the world.
GCR is a leading industry source of news and analysis for competition practitioners. This new initiative profiles the world’s most important antitrust academics and showcases their thought leadership on issues at a crucial time in the antitrust landscape. In his interview, Dr. Farrell speaks about the academic frontier for antitrust law, opining that antitrust enforcement often asks economists to make predictions and that there needs to be recognition that even the best economic analysis can leave significant uncertainty about the answer.
GCR also confers other awards for excellence, including the Economics 23, a comprehensive listing of the world’s best competition practices, which Bates White has earned for 13 consecutive years.
