Every station (LPFM excluded) must have a Local Public Inspection File (the Public File)--a collection of documents that must promptly be made available to anyone who asks to see it. The FCC is very rigorous about enforcing the Public File rule, so it is critical that your Public File contains the documents required by the FCC. It is also critical that you know how to make it available to the public. John Crigler and Melodie Virtue, attorneys at Garvey Schubert Barer in Washington, D.C. will guide us through the requirements so that you know exactly what goes in the Public File and how to provide access.
