On June 4, 2024, Foster Garvey successfully launched a new educational series designed to assist public sector employers in Washington. Developed by Jared Van Kirk, Matthew R. Kelly and Alyssa A. Melter from the firm's Labor, Employment & Immigration group, this initiative marks a significant milestone in the firm’s commitment to providing targeted, practical education to the public sector.
The inaugural session zeroed in on Wage & Hour Trends, tackling some of the most pressing issues currently under scrutiny and litigation such as time rounding, meal periods, rate of pay, salary thresholds and more. The session drew substantial participation, highlighting the relevance and necessity of such educational resources. Attendees left with practical knowledge that could be directly applied within their organizations.
Foster Garvey invites stakeholders and interested parties to participate in future sessions, which will continue to serve as valuable resources for the community.
Stay tuned for upcoming sessions.
