Seattle, WA, February 8, 2018 - Garvey Schubert Barer (GSB) congratulates GSB attorney Ada Danelo on her confirmation as a new Washington State China Relations Council board of director today. Danelo said “I look forward to working with the Council and promoting Washington as a partner for Chinese trade, investment and cultural exchange.”
China has been a major focus of Garvey Schubert Barer’s international practice since its early days. In 1979, Stan Barer, one of our firm’s founders, assisted in the negotiations to resume shipping relations between the United States and the People’s Republic of China following a 30-year hiatus.
“As a founding member of the Washington State China Relations Council, Stanley Barer and Garvey Schubert Barer have provided visionary leadership since the Council’s inception in 1979. WSCRC welcomes Ms. Ada Danelo as a new board director and her contributions to ongoing collaboration between Garvey Schubert Barer and WSCRC in advancing US-China-WA state relations,” stated WSCRC President Mercy Kuo.
Danelo focuses her legal practice on advising companies on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings. She attended the University of Washington School of Law, where she was a managing editor of the Washington Law Review.
