Foster Garvey is closely monitoring the developing situation with COVID-19. Our hearts go out to those impacted by the virus. The firm's priorities are the health, safety and well-being of its employees, clients, families and the community.
To that end, here are some of the steps Foster Garvey is taking:
-
- Actively monitoring guidance from public health officials including the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and state and local public health departments. We are encouraging everyone to take precautions and prioritize their personal safety and wellness.
- Social Distancing: Urging employees to work remotely / Preparing for our employees to work remotely to ensure we can be responsive to client needs with no gaps in service. Our employees are equipped with the appropriate, safe technology to work from home.
- Suspending travel / limiting travel for all employees / where only necessary trips are being taken on a case by case basis.
- Communicating clearly with our employees and our clients to make sure everyone is receiving the service they need while remaining safe, as well as working with our other offices to assure that our continuing service to clients is maintained in the event of a local office’s temporary closure.
To assist clients with preparing for and navigating the myriad issues or potential disruptions that may arise during these unsteady and challenging times, attorneys across our firm have assembled a number of COVID-19 resources.
We strongly encourage everyone to keep current with updates by state and local public health departments in your area (see list of resources below), and view the CDC’s guidance on what you need to know about COVID-19 and what to do if you are sick with coronavirus.
