In a Q&A profile piece celebrating Justice Brooks’ selection as one of the Portland Business Journal’s 2022 "Forty Under 40" honorees, Justice shares words of inspiration and key lessons learned in his career.
He notes the smartest thing an employee or co-worker ever said to him was, “Do not ever doubt that you belong.” And, what makes him most proud from the first 25 years of his life is, “The impact I made on the lives of others. Specifically, working with young people with behavioral and mental challenges. Watching those people grow and succeed and having them reach out and thank me for the role I played in their success. There is no more humbling or better feeling.”
The publication notes that Justice was selected for the honor for showing commitment to social change in and around Portland, serving as counsel on numerous significant legal cases, winning a transit case that permitted the continued construction of a large-scale transit project, and obtaining the dismissal of a multimillion-dollar lawsuit related to the construction of a mixed-use building in Portland.
