Barbara J. Koonz, Chair of the firm’s Energy, Renewable Resources & Sustainable Development Practice Group, will co-moderate and lecture at the “11th Annual Renewable Energy, Clean Tech and Climate Change Conference,” to be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. The hybrid program will be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in conjunction with the NJSBA Renewable Energy, Clean Tech and Climate Change Special Committee at the New Jersey Law Center, as well as online.
The program’s faculty includes some of New Jersey’s leading policy makers, including DEP Commissioner Shawn LaTourette, Deputy Commissioner Sean Moriarty, Senator Bob Smith, and BPU Executive Director Robert Brabston.

As a partner in the firm’s Environmental Department, Ms. Koonz focuses her practice in the areas of environmental and energy law, with an emphasis on environmental permitting for redevelopment, environmental compliance and renewable energy projects. She advises clients with respect to New Jersey state and federal environmental permitting and regulatory compliance issues, due diligence for acquisitions, the resolution of enforcement actions with public agencies, the permitting and transfer of solid waste and public wastewater, and regularly represents solar energy providers and hosts in connection with the development of grid-supply, net-metered and community solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.
