Stephanie G. Reckord, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, will serve as moderator and a panelist for “Insights into 2020: The Impact Women Will Have on the Next Election and Judicial Appointments,” to be presented at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Convention, which takes place May 15-17, 2019 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. Ms. Reckord's program is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15 from 4:30pm – 6:00pm.
The program will be a discussion of the effect of women and diverse candidates on the upcoming election, and will include an overview of the judicial appointments process, a review of electoral law and the electoral process, and the impact of gender bias. The panel will also provide interesting insights regarding the history of women in government – the progress that has been achieved, and where improvement is still needed.
Ms. Reckord's litigation practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. Her representation of clients includes matters in the areas of banking, employment, family law, trusts & estates, class action defense, consumer fraud, construction and commercial real estate. Ms. Reckord is a Past Chair of the NJSBA Women in the Profession Section and currently serves on the Board of Trustees.
