Wednesday, April 11
- Gary S. Forshner will moderate “Engineering: Concepts, Strategies and Practices” from 2:00pm – 3:45pm. Engineers play a pivotal role in project design and in the review of development applications. This seminar will focus on best practices during the development process to ensure builders can reach final compliance efficiently and affordably. It will also touch on the ever-changing, engineer related constructs of NJ land-use laws and regulations.
- Robert S. Goldsmith will be a panelist for “The Growing Trends in Mixed-Use Developments” from 2:00pm – 3:45pm. New Jersey's demographics continue to change with more and more households making the choice to move into urban style housing to meet their desire to live, work, shop and play in the same community. This seminar will explore the emerging trend of bringing together both residential and commercial components in mixed-use developments and their emerging role in the development community.
Thursday, April 12
- Matthew J. Schiller will moderate “21st Century Land Use Challenges” from 10:00am – 11:45am. Technology continues to dramatically change the acquisition, development and operation of real estate. This seminar will explore the numerous online resources and databases available to analyze properties as well as ongoing impact of e-commerce and advances in technology on existing and proposed developments, infrastructure, zoning laws, and real estate transactions.
- Robert Beckelman will be a panelist for “Redevelopment Case Studies” from 10:00am – 11:45am. A panel of developers and other professionals will present case studies of highly successful redevelopment projects and will discuss how they worked with municipalities in New Jersey to get them built.
