Mark H. Sobel and Frank A. Louis of the firm’s Family Law Department will be on the faculty for the two-day “2021 Family Law Symposium,” to be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) as a live webcast on Tuesday, January 26 and Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
The annual Family Law Symposium is New Jersey’s leading family law conference. Mr. Sobel and Mr. Louis will present together on the topic “Unique and Cutting Edge Issues.” Mr. Louis will also participate in sessions addressing “Advanced Trial Techniques in Family Law Litigation” and “The Evidence Rules Any Family Law Attorney Needs to Know.”
Mr. Sobel, chair of the Family Law Department, concentrates his practice in litigation, primarily in the area of family law and with an emphasis on the representation of high net-worth individuals. He provides counsel across all aspects of family law, including prenuptial agreements, separation and divorce proceedings, the distribution of property and other marital assets, spousal and child support, custody and relocation. Mr. Sobel is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney.
Mr. Louis, a partner in the Family Law Department, has over 45 years of extensive experience in negotiating and litigating economically complex divorce cases. He has been broadly recognized by his peers as a preeminent member of the New Jersey family law bar. Mr. Louis represents clients in all aspects of divorce including asset distribution, child support and alimony, with the goal of achieving a negotiated result but, when required, a fair result after trial. His emphasis is on problem-solving and attaining beneficial outcomes by using creative approaches to achieve a client's goals.
