Emily A. Kaller, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, will moderate a “2021 LGBTQ Rights Annual Update,” to be presented as a live webinar by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in cooperation with the NJSBA LGBTQ Rights Section on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 9:00am – 12:35pm.
The theme for this presentation will be “Continuing to Advance LGBTQ+ Equality Under the Law and Access to Justice: Legal Updates, Practice Pointers, and Elimination of Bias Tools.” The 2021 LGBTQ Rights Annual Update will explore impact litigation brought to advance civil rights in the LGBTQ community, identify anomalies in the existing law and how to address them, and expand cultural competency in terms of sexual orientation and gender identity diversity. Attendees will learn about significant cases and legislative developments, along with important updates that touch on a range of practice areas, cutting-edge best practices, diversity-inclusive practice tips and elimination of bias tools.
Ms. Kaller is Vice Chair of the NJSBA LGBTQ Rights Section and President of Trial Attorneys of New Jersey. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, including the prosecution and defense of financing, credit and other banking matters, contract disputes including those arising under licensing and asset sale agreements, environmental contamination contribution actions, and complex litigation.
