Greenbaum attorneys Sean R. McGowan and Conor J. Hennessey will be panelists at the “2024 Real Estate Conference,” to be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in cooperation with the NJSBA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section on Thursday, April 18, 2024. The program will be held in-person at the New Jersey Law Center from 9:00am – 4:00pm and will also be available for viewing as a live webinar.

Mr. McGowan is a partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department. He focuses his practice in the area of real estate law, including all aspects of development, redevelopment, land use and zoning, real property transactions, project financing, and the representation of clients on issues related to property management, landlord-tenant matters, and day-to-day business counseling. He also serves as counsel to one of the major sewerage authorities in the state and has previously served as counsel to other public entities. In addition to his experience as an attorney in private practice, Mr. McGowan previously served in an in-house legal capacity for a leading New Jersey based commercial developer. In this role he oversaw the development of numerous multi-family residential, retail and warehouse projects, and also assisted the company in navigating a broad range of legal and business challenges.
Mr. Hennessey is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department and Real Estate Brokerage Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in commercial litigation involving real estate transactions, real estate brokerage law, business disputes, commercial contract actions, consumer fraud act claims, and professional malpractice cases. In the specialized area of real estate brokerage law, he has significant experience including the litigation and mediation of business disputes on behalf of brokerages and claims brought against real estate licensees. He represents brokers and salespersons before the New Jersey Real Estate Commission and local real estate boards and provides guidance to clients on general brokerage issues. He has been involved in matters brought before the New Jersey Supreme Court, the New Jersey Appellate Division, and the Office of Administrative Law with broad-based impacts on New Jersey’s real estate brokerage industry.
