Jemi Goulian Lucey, Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department, will moderate the program “A Woman’s Place Is In the Courtroom,” which will be presented on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 12:30pm – 2:00pm at the Martin Luther King building in Newark.  The Brown Bag Lunch Series program will be presented by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in conjunction with The Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey.

The public is increasingly focused on the role and treatment of women in our society, and the legal profession must be part of that dialogue.  This program will provide an informative and insightful look at the role of women in the federal courts.  Panelists will share historical and current perspectives from the bench and bar, as well as from public and private employers, and will discuss what steps should be taken to give women more opportunities to have their professional voices heard, including in court.

The Honorable Leda Wettre, U.S. Magistrate Judge
Carrie H. Cohen, Esq., Morrison & Foerster, LLP
Robyn Gigl, Esq., Gluck Walrath, LLP
