Two of the firm’s Litigation Department partners will play an active role in an upcoming Middlesex County Bar Association (MCBA) Civil Rights Symposium, scheduled for February 20, 2013 at the Pines Manor in Edison.
Dennis A. Estis, Chair of the firm’s Construction Practice Group, is serving as Chair of the Symposium, which will feature a three-panel Seminar as well as a dinner speaker. Raymond M. Brown, Chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense & Corporate and International Human Rights Compliance Practice Group, will participate in a panel discussion entitled “Emancipation and Affirmative Action: Is There Room for Both?”
Mr. Estis concentrates his practice in complex litigation, with a focus on cases involving construction, condominiums, general business disputes, alternate dispute resolution (ADR), and real estate matters. He is a past president of the MCBA and a former member of the Middlesex County Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s General Council and a former member of its Nominating Committee.
Mr. Brown is a high profile criminal defense attorney with an international legal practice, and a leading figure in a developing area of law related to the regulation and enforcement of business requirements for human rights compliance. He is host of the Emmy Award-winning New Jersey Network television program "Due Process,” a Visiting Professor and Research Scholar at Seton Hall University School of Law, and the recipient of numerous legal industry accolades.
