Glenn Berman, Of Counsel in Greenbaum’s Litigation Department and a former Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, will participate in a full-day symposium on “Cyberbullying in America: A Discussion of Liability, Policy, and Progress” to be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, from 10:00am - 4:00pm, at the Rutgers School of Law - Newark.
The program will include multiple panels discussing issues of criminal liability, civil liability, and policy related to the issue of cyberbullying. Judge Berman will participate in a Criminal Panel on “Prosecuting & Defending an Alleged Cyberbully: The Role of the Criminal Justice System in a Networked Age of Bullying.”
Judge Berman has authored published decisions encompassing all four divisions of the Superior Court; General Equity, Family, Civil and Criminal. He was specially designated to preside over the landmark and high profile 2012 cyberbullying case, State of New Jersey v. Dharun Ravi. Following his retirement from the bench, Judge Berman joined the Greenbaum firm in January of 2013. His practice focuses in mediation, arbitration, and discovery management of complex family, commercial, estate/probate, and general equity matters, as well as law enforcement investigations.
