Jemi Goulian Lucey, a partner in the firm’s Employment Law and Litigation Departments and Co-Chair of the Higher Education Practice Group, will be a panelist at the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) Meadowlands Seminar 2021, which will be held at the Hilton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford on December 8-10, 2021.
Ms. Lucey will participate in the panel discussion“Practice What You Preach: Diversity and Inclusion in Hiring and Retention” on Thursday, December 9 from 9:00am – 10:00am. The seminar will focus on practice tips in the hiring and retention of diverse members in the legal field as part of the NJAH’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programming.
Ms. Lucey is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on employment, higher education and professional negligence matters. She represents private and public entities, including institutions of higher learning, in employment discrimination and retaliation actions, professional negligence cases, Title IX claims, and business disputes. She also lectures and consults on employment and human resources law and provides guidance related to the practical implications of various state and federal laws affecting employers. Ms. Lucey is a member of the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Team and Outreach & Community Engagement and Women's Advancement Initiative (WAI) Focus Groups.
The NJAJ is a statewide association of over 2,700 members in private practice and public service, paralegals, law clerks, law students and law school graduates not yet admitted to the bar.
