Robert B. Hille, a partner in the firm’s Healthcare Department, will be a panelist for the live webinar “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Ethics and Malpractice (and Some Things You Didn't Know You Needed),” to be presented at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Virtual Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 1:30pm – 2:45pm. This presentation is part of the Ethics and Professionalism track.
This presentation will provide a detailed overview of the disciplinary system in New Jersey, including the intersection between the Office of Attorney Ethics and the District Ethics Committees, and will review the Rules of Professional Conduct and highlight common areas of concern and how to avoid them for both private and government attorneys. The presentation will also provide guidance on the interplay between ethics violations, malpractice claims and the appropriate coverage.
Mr. Hille, who previously served as NJSBA President. focuses his practice in the areas of insurance and healthcare law. He has extensive trial experience and has litigated a number of insurance defense and coverage, healthcare, professional liability defense, fraud and abuse, and regulatory matters. His experience also encompasses the representation of clients in response to state and federal white collar investigations, including those involving allegations and charges of healthcare fraud and abuse and the procurement of fraudulent payments from government entities.
