Jemi Goulian Lucey, Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department, will serve as the moderator for a program on “Federal Practice Insights for the Federal Practitioner,” which will be presented by the New Jersey State Bar Association Federal Practice and Procedure Section on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 4:30pm – 6:00pm (ET) at the New Jersey Law Center.

The program will provide insights regarding civil and criminal practice in federal court from Chief Judge Freda L. Wolfson and the district’s two newest magistrate judges, Judge Zahid N. Quraishi and Judge Edward S. Kiel.  The justices will be joined by a panel of seasoned federal private and public practitioners, including Assistant U.S. Attorney Joyce M. Malliet, Christopher D. Adams (Chair of Greenbaum’s Criminal Defense & Regulatory Compliance Practice Group), Corinne McCann Trainor (Fox Rothschild LLP) and Christopher Walsh (Gibbons P.C).

A reception honoring Chief Judge Wolfson, Magistrate Judge Quraishi and Magistrate Judge Kiel will immediately follow the program.

Ms. Lucey concentrates her practice on employment litigation, higher education law, professional negligence defense and the productive use of litigation technology to reduce litigation costs and increase efficiency.  She represents mid-market companies, institutions of higher learning, and public entities in federal and state civil litigation matters concerning employment discrimination and retaliation claims, professional negligence defense, Higher Education and Title IX alleged violations, business torts, and commercial contract disputes.

Mr. Adams concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, internal investigations, attorney ethics matters and disciplinary proceedings, and complex commercial litigation.  With a national practice that has encompassed the representation of high profile individuals, Mr. Adams has served as counsel to professional athletes, elected officials and candidates for public office, political campaigns, and numerous public and private business entities.
