Steven G. Mlenak, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Redevelopment & Land Use Departments, will participate in a “Homeowner Leader Best Practices Roundtable Discussion” on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 8:30am – 11:00am. The program will be presented by the Community Associations Institute New Jersey Chapter (CAI-NJ) at the Regency at Monroe in Monroe Township.
Mr. Mlenak will lead the discussion “Radburn Regulations: How they Affect Your Community,” a session sponsored by the firm. Other topics to be addressed throughout the morning include electronic voting, roadway maintenance, snow removal, and slip and falls.
Mr. Mlenak is a member of the firm’s Community Association Practice Group, where he maintains a strong focus in the niche area of community association law, providing strategic guidance and general counseling to condominium and homeowners association clients across a broad range of legal issues. His work encompasses the interpretation and amendment of governing documents and by-laws, drafting contracts, collection of delinquent assessments, the enforcement of rules and regulations, operational and maintenance issues, the fiduciary responsibilities of board members, transition negotiations and litigation, Municipal Services Act compliance, and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Mlenak currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of CAI-NJ. He was recognized with CAI-NJ’s "2016 Speaker of the Year" award and was a shared recipient of the "2014 Committee of the Year" award for his work as a member of CAI-NJ’s National Legislative Action Committee – NJ.
