Jack Fersko, co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, will discuss the impact of the legalization of marijuana on the economy and the real estate market in New Jersey at the Annual Joint Meeting between IOREBA and SIOR NY/NJ Chapters, which will take place on February 12, 2018 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm at the New York Athletic Club.

Use of Marijuana has been legalized in New Jersey and New York for medicinal purposes.  Newly elected Governor Murphy campaigned on legalizing it for recreational purposes, and Governor Cuomo has also entered the discussion.  How will legalized marijuana affect your real estate?  What is the current state of the law from a federal and state perspective?  What are the issues to consider now, as legislation moves through the legislative process?
