Robert S. Goldsmith and Irene Hsieh will be on the faculty for a “Legislative and Regulatory Update,” to be presented by the New Jersey Builders Association on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 8:30am – 12:30pm at the NJBA Conference Area in Robbinsville, NJ.
The seminar will focus on critical new laws and pertinent environmental regulations impacting New Jersey’s building and redevelopment sectors. Mr. Goldsmith and Ms. Hsieh will participate as moderator and panelist, respectively, for a review of the recently enacted Sewer and Water Connection Fee Law. The legislation, S1247/A2779, was jointly crafted over several years by the New Jersey Builders Association and the Association of Environmental Authorities. Mr. Goldsmith and Ms. Hsieh played a key role in this process on behalf of the NJBA, for which the firm serves as a Patron Sponsor. The details of the new law are summarized in their recent Client Alert, which can be accessed at: https://bit.ly/2KS3PTq
Mr. Goldsmith's practice focuses on redevelopment, downtown and urban revitalization, transit oriented development, project financing and incentives, sustainable building initiatives and public-private partnerships. His experience encompasses counseling clients on the specialized issues in redevelopment related to parking demand, design and construction.
Ms. Hsieh’s practice concentrates in commercial litigation, primarily in the areas of trusts and estates, employment, and construction litigation, including work on behalf of clients in the building industry and academic sector.
