Emily A. Kaller and Cameryn J. Hinton, members of the firm’s Litigation Department, will be panelists for the live webinar “Notorious RBG – The Life and Legacy of an Icon,” which will be presented on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in cooperation with the NJSBA Women in the Profession Section.
The program will feature a discussion about the legacy of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. From her success in arguing the 1971 case of Reed vs. Reed , which led to the Court’s ruling for the first time that discrimination based on sex was unconstitutional, to her opinions and dissenting opinions, the panelists will analyze some of Justice Ginsburg’s most important decisions related to women’s rights, workplace discrimination and more. The presentation pays tribute to an extraordinary woman and Justice who, at 5’1”, was a figure who will continue to loom large over American jurisprudence.
