Casale (Ret.), Of Counsel in the firm’s Family Law Department, will present a live webinar on “A Nuts and Bolts Guide to Divorce Law Practice in New Jersey: From Complaint to Judgment,” to be presented by Lawline on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 1:30pm (ET). This course is a basic guide of the various stages of a divorce case in New Jersey. The statutory and procedural hurdles will be presented in plain English so that even the new practitioner and the client can understand the lengthy and costly divorce practice. Judge Casale will discuss strategic options, legal pitfalls, and practical tips in divorce law, and will address topics including:
- A review of the basics of initial pleadings
- Develop a case strategy at the Initial Case Management Conference
- How to use the various settlement events to help resolve the case at an early stage
- How to effectively use/retention of expert witnesses
- How to prepare effectively for trial
Judge Casale focuses his practice on mediation, arbitration, settlement conferences and discovery management. He has extensive experience in the areas of family law, personal injury and insurance defense, which he brings to bear in his representation of clients in complex family and civil disputes, including malpractice and employment litigation matters. His practice also encompasses consultation and trial strategy in child custody, relocation, child support and domestic violence matters. Judge Casale joined the firm following his retirement from the New Jersey Judiciary after over 20 years of service as a Superior Court Judge in Essex County.
