Andrea J. Sullivan, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, will moderate a roundtable discussion of current issues surrounding the status of women’s rights and forms of discrimination in the workplace, schools and elsewhere following a private screening of the film “On the Basis of Sex,” a 2018 biographical legal drama film based on the life and early cases of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The screening and roundtable discussion will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Regal Cinemas Hadley Theatre 16 in South Plainfield: the film will run from 9:00am – 11:00am, followed by a discussion from 11:00am – 12:30pm.
Emily A. Kaller and Cameryn J. Hinton of the firm’s Litigation Department will join the program as roundtable participants, along with numerous other prominent members of the Bar. The conversation will focus on equal rights and discrimination in today’s society, and will explore how have things changed since Justice Ginsberg argued Moritz v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue, how they’ve stayed the same, and what is today’s narrative and the next frontier.
