Jemi Goulian Lucey, Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department, will be on the faculty for the live seminar and webcast “Practical Guidelines for Dealing with New Technology,” which will be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 9:00am – 12:15pm (ET).

In the digital age, attorneys and their clients are confronted on a regular basis with new technologies that create, store and transmit electronic information through which communications take place, transactions are made, and “wrongs” can be committed.  Attorneys must be able to understand these technologies and discuss related issues with their clients.  This program will present a primer on the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct and civil practice rules and how these impact the use of new technologies by attorneys. 

Ms. Lucey concentrates her practice on employment litigation, higher education law, professional negligence defense and the productive use of litigation technology to reduce litigation costs and increase efficiency.  She represents mid-market companies, institutions of higher learning, and public entities in federal and state civil litigation matters concerning employment discrimination and retaliation claims, professional negligence defense, Higher Education and Title IX alleged violations, business torts, and commercial contract disputes.
