Jemi Goulian Lucey, a partner in the firm’s Employment Law and Litigation Departments, will present the live webinar “Litigation Avoidance & Litigation Awareness: What In-House Counsel Need to Know About Employment Discrimination and Retaliation Litigation” on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 9:00am – 10:00am. The program will be hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel New Jersey Chapter (ACCNJ) on the Zoom platform.
Ms. Lucey’s presentation will address a range of topics related to New Jersey state and federal employment discrimination and retaliation litigation, including issues associated with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) and the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA) – as well as the current state of the law on restrictive covenants. The program will focus on providing in-house counsel with strategic guidance on avoiding litigation and on handling litigation should it arise.
Ms. Lucey is a trial attorney who represents private and public entities in employment discrimination and retaliation actions, professional negligence cases, and complex litigation matters and business disputes in state and federal courts.
