Robert B. Hille, a partner in the firm’s Healthcare and Litigation Departments, will be a panelist for the live webinar “Wrestling with Stress and Ethical Challenges: Resilience Training in the Long-Haul for the Practice of Law,” which will be presented on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 9:00am – 12:35pm by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and Reel Time CLE.
This program is for anyone struggling with mile-long “to do” lists, demanding schedules and stress from over commitment. Presenters from Reel Time CLE along with a panel of NJSBA members will participate in this unique, highly interactive program built around the critically acclaimed 2011 film “Win Win” starring Paul Giamatti. The program will explore the efforts of Giamatti’s character to navigate the many challenges he faces, which while often well-intentioned, ultimately lead him to an ethical compromise that could have devastating consequences for his practice, his client, and the people he loves most.
The presentation will enable attendees to:
- Recognize and better understand the warning signs of stress overload
- Understand the link between the ethical and professional demands of a law practice and an attorney’s personal commitments and pressures
- Recognize the importance of identifying and utilizing available resources to avoid isolation
- Identify and implement practical ways to manage professional pressures and stress, as encountered every day and during “crunch time”
Mr. Hille focuses his practice in the areas of insurance and healthcare law. He has extensive trial experience and has litigated a number of insurance defense and coverage, healthcare, professional liability defense, fraud and abuse, and regulatory matters. Mr. Hille has published and lectured widely in his areas of concentration. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and lectures frequently on issues related to attorney ethics and professional liability.
