Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce that four of the firm’s partners, Emily A. Kaller, Jemi Goulian Lucey, Steven Nudelman and Stephanie G. Reckord, have been appointed to new leadership positions in the New Jersey State Bar Association.       

Emily KallerMs. Kaller has been appointed Chair-Elect of the NJSBA’s LGBT Rights Section, which addresses issues that are of importance to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the legal profession. It advocates for and promotes the civil and human rights of the LGBT community, strives to improve access to justice for LGBT individuals, and works to advance professional opportunities for LGBT attorneys and judges. Ms. Kaller focuses her practice in commercial litigation, including financing, credit and other banking matters, contract disputes, environmental contamination contribution actions, and complex litigation.  A member of the firm’s Criminal Defense & Regulatory Compliance Practice Group, she has conducted and assisted with a variety of internal investigations on behalf of public and private entities.

Jemi Goulian LuceyMs. Lucey has been appointed Co-Vice Chair of the NJSBA’s Higher Education Special Committee, which addresses issues of concern to attorneys representing colleges and universities, including denial of tenure, student discipline, discrimination claims, immigration questions and restriction of commercial speech.  Ms. Lucey, who co-chairs the firm’s Higher Education Practice Group, is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on employment, higher education and professional negligence matters, representing private and public entities, including institutions of higher learning, in employment discrimination and retaliation actions, professional negligence cases, Title IX claims, and business disputes.  She also counsels clients on compliance with state and federal employment and human resources law.

Steven NudelmanMr. Nudelman has been appointed Co-Chair of the NJSBA’s Construction Law Section, which monitors the laws governing construction and public contracts and recommends modifications to and/or comments on such laws. Mr. Nudelman, who chairs the firm’s Construction Contracting & Risk Management Practice Group, has represented members of the construction industry for over 25 years. On the transactional side, he prepares and negotiates contract documents for projects in the NJ/NY metropolitan area, helping clients manage the risks inherent in construction projects. When claims and disputes are unavoidable, Mr. Nudelman draws upon his wide-ranging experience in construction litigation, representing clients in state and federal courts and in local and international mediations and arbitrations. 

Stephanie G. ReckordMs. Reckord has been appointed Co-Secretary of the Construction Law Section. Her diverse litigation practice focuses on complex commercial matters and encompasses the representation of clients in the areas of banking, employment, family law, trusts and estates, class action defense, consumer fraud, construction and commercial real estate.  As Co-Chair of the firm’s Construction Disputes Practice Group, Ms. Reckord represents condominium associations and unit owners in construction-related matters including contract disputes, consumer fraud cases and RICO claims.  She represents developers in arbitrations and litigation proceedings regarding construction defects, including buildings and heavy construction projects.
