Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce the publication of the 2013 edition of New Jersey Condominium and Community Association Law (Gann Law Books). The book was co-authored by three of the firm’s partners, Wendell A. Smith, Dennis A. Estis and Christine F. Li, and is a practical guide to assist condominium and other common interest communities, attorneys and other professionals, as well as lay persons.

The treatise provides a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the rights and obligations of common property ownership and enables attorneys, officers and board members of condominium and community associations, and cooperative corporations to better understand their roles. Topics addressed include: 

Wendell A. Smith concentrates his practice in land use and planned real estate development, including the structuring of complex, mixed use projects as well as the transition of control of community associations from developers to unit owners. He also represents community associations and frequently serves as a consultant or expert witness in connection with governance and other association issues.

Dennis A. Estis, Chair of the Construction Practice Group, focuses his practice in the area of condominium and community association law, including but not limited to complex litigation, corporate and association representation, and alternate dispute resolution (ADR), particularly as they relate to condominiums and cooperative corporations.

Christine F. Li, Chair of the Planned Real Estate Practice Group and Co-Chair of the Distressed Real Estate Practice Group, concentrates her practice in condominium and planned real estate developments, including registration of projects with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Ms. Li’s clients include developers, sponsors of the conversion of rental properties, community associations, successor sponsors of existing communities, and lending institutions.

The authors are all members of the College of Community Association Lawyers of the Community Associations Institute. Mr. Smith and Ms. Li are Fellows of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. Mr. Estis is a founding Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
