On May 15, 2013, the CEOs and other top executives of approximately one hundred food, beverage and related industry-leading companies came together for a Food & Beverage Forum and CEO Best Practice Summit. The firm was proud to serve as a Contributing Sponsor and the sole law firm sponsor of the event, the first of its kind to be held in New Jersey.

The event, which was held at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ, was presented by the accounting and advisory firm of WeiserMazars LLP, Sovereign Bank, N.A. and its parent company Santander Holdings USA, Inc.

Attendees were provided with generous networking opportunities, followed by a presentation and interactive discussion of industry best practices led by a distinguished panel of speakers. Program moderator Linda Doherty (President of the New Jersey Food Council) was joined on the panel by Robert Unanue (Goya Foods, Inc.), Judy Spires (AG Supermarket Holdings/Kings) and Robert Tillis (Imperial Bag & Paper Co., LLC).

Throughout the years, Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis has represented numerous companies in the food and beverage industry, including franchisees, wholesale and retail entities, supermarkets, distributors and manufacturers. Many of those clients were in attendance at the Forum, which brought the opportunity to connect with both industry colleagues and representatives of corollary industries such as packaging, transportation, refrigeration and storage.

The firm’s representation of clients in this arena spans our legal service offerings, encompassing matters related to corporate governance and transactions, real estate matters, environmental concerns, tax issues and litigation.
