Emily A. Kaller, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, was installed as President of Trial Attorneys of New Jersey (TANJ) at the organization’s Virtual Installation of Officers event, which was held on November 5, 2020 via Zoom. Ms. Kaller and the full roster of 2020 TANJ Officers were sworn in by The Hon. Freda L. Wolfson, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court.
TANJ is an organization of approximately 600 members consisting of both plaintiff & defense attorneys from the civil and criminal bars and is dedicated to promoting the interests of the public at large, the interest of the litigants involved in civil and criminal cases, and the interests of the bench and bar. The group is also committed to training young attorneys through internship and scholarship programs, as well as training seasoned attorneys through continuing legal education programs.
Ms. Kaller's practice focuses on commercial litigation. She has experience in the prosecution and defense of financing, credit and other banking matters, contract disputes including those arising under licensing and asset sale agreements, environmental contamination contribution actions, and complex litigation. Ms. Kaller has represented clients in both state and federal courts, including appellate practice before the New Jersey Supreme Court, Appellate Division and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and has conducted and assisted with internal investigations on behalf of public and private entities in connection with a variety of matters.
