Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to welcome two New Jersey law school students as participants in the firm’s annual summer associate program for 2024.
Alexandra Cavanaugh is a 2025 J.D. candidate at Seton Hall University School of Law after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Clemson University. The recipient of a merit-based Trustees Scholarship, her law school activities include the Seton Hall Journal of Legislation and Public Policy. She served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Michael A. Shipp, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, as a summer intern at a New Jersey-based law firm, and as a program intern at the Monmouth County Courthouse.
Thomas McGowan is a 2025 J.D. candidate at Rutgers Law School – Newark after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College. The recipient of a Rutgers Law Scholarship, his law school activities include Staff Editor of the Rutgers Business Law Review. While attending law school, he has served as a law clerk at a New Jersey-based law firm, and as a legal intern in the Queens (NY) District Attorney’s Office. Prior to attending law school, he worked at a stock exchange and financial information company and as a finance intern at a global investment firm.
Serving as law clerks, the firm’s summer associates gain tangible legal experience while working with partners and associates. They receive direct exposure to the legal process by attending closings, hearings/trials, depositions, negotiations and business meetings that take place throughout the summer. Seminars, luncheons and outings offer informal settings to further develop professional and personal ties to the firm and its attorneys.
Greenbaum’s summer program is coordinated by our partner Stephanie G. Reckord, who as a former Greenbaum summer associate herself can personally attest to the value provided to participants in the program.
