Dina M. Vanides and Jeffrey A. Sirot, attorneys in the Roseland office of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP, have recently been appointed to positions within the Essex County Bar Association. Vanides was appointed to the Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee for a three year term and Sirot was installed as Chair of the Young Lawyers Section at the Association’s annual dinner on April 23. With more than a one hundred year history and with over 3,000 members, the ECBA is the second largest association of attorneys in New Jersey.

Vanides is a partner of the firm in its Litigation Department and Family Law Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in the area of family law. She previously served as law clerk to the Honorable Herbert S. Glickman, New Jersey Superior Court Judge, and the Honorable Thomas P. Zampino, New Jersey Superior Court Presiding Judge. She is the co-author of the article, “End the Charade” which appeared in the July 6, 1998 edition of the New Jersey Law Journal and she has penned an article entitled, “The Changing Scape of Alimony Awards in New Jersey” which appeared in the Winter 2001 edition of the firm’s newsletter, Exhibit A.

Vanides serves on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Section, Young Lawyers Committee and is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association. She is a graduate of the Northern New Jersey Family Inns of Court which she continues to attend. Vanides is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, magna cum laude, and she received her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, cum laude.

Sirot is an associate of the firm in its Litigation Department and is a member of the Planned Real Estate Practice Group. His practice includes all aspects of civil litigation, including corporate and partnership disputes and trial practice. In addition, he maintains an emphasis in community association law. Prior to joining the firm, Sirot served as an intern with the Honorable Ronald J. Hedges, United States Magistrate Judge.

Sirot is a magna cum laude graduate of Rutgers University, where he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. He received his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Law Record.
