Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce that two of the firm’s attorneys have been elected to new leadership positions in the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA) for the 2022-2023/2024 term, effective July 1, 2022.
Partner Jemi Goulian Lucey will serve as Nominations Co-Director as a member of the NJWLA Executive Board. Counsel Jessica M. Carroll will serve as Co-Chair of the Judicial Outreach Committee. Both are members of the firm’s Employment Law, Healthcare and Litigation Departments.
Ms. Lucey is a past President of NJWLA. She is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on employment, higher education, and complex litigation matters in state and federal court, representing private and public entities, including institutions of higher learning, in employment discrimination and retaliation actions, professional negligence cases, Title IX claims, and general business disputes. She also consults on employment and human resources law and provides guidance related to litigation avoidance strategies. Ms. Lucey co-chairs the firm’s Higher Education Practice Group.
Ms. Carroll is the immediate past Co-Chair of NJWLA’s Gala Committee and a former Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division. She concentrates her practice in litigation with an emphasis in healthcare. Her experience encompasses a variety of hospital medical staff litigations and hearings, as well as insurance defense and coverage matters involving general liability, professional liability, product liability, negligent security, wrongful death, and construction defect claims.
The purpose and mission of NJWLA is to advance and retain women in the legal profession through education and activism, to promote qualified women to the highest levels of law firm, government, academic, community and corporate positions and to endorse qualified female attorneys for appointments to the state and federal judiciary. The association strives to provide a voice for its members concerning issues of importance to women.
