Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is proud to announce that our partner Kersten Kortbawi will be honored by the Middlesex County Bar Association with its 2024 “Young Lawyer of the Year Award.” Kersten and her fellow honorees will be recognized at the Bar’s 19th Annual Practice Area Awards Dinner on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Pines Manor in Edison.

The Practice Area Awards recognize attorneys practicing in Middlesex County and adjacent municipalities who devote a significant portion of their work to their respective specialty areas and exhibit leadership in their field of practice, significant and tangible contributions to the Bar and/or their community, a record of involvement in the MCBA, and a reputation for personal and professional integrity.

More specifically, the Young Lawyer of the Year Award recognizes attorneys who devote time and energy to charitable or other community-oriented service, volunteer time to bar activities at the county or state level, and who have received professional recognition through publications, excellence in a particular area of law, or other professional achievements.

Kersten is a Middlesex County Bar Association Trustee and is Chair of the MCBA Legislative Committee. She also serves as Co-Secretary of the New Jersey State Bar Association Construction Law Section, and in 2023 received an Amicus Curiae Award from the state bar. She has organized the firm’s annual participation in the MCBA/MCBF’s holiday toy drive and 2023 coat drive. A key member of Greenbaum’s mentorship team, she works closely with the firm’s annual summer associate program participants. She was recognized on the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2020 list of "New Leaders of the Bar” and is listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and in Super Lawyers – New Jersey Rising Stars.
