  • Midlevel associate for our Washington, DC office
  • At least four years of experience dealing in one or more of the following areas regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA): food products, including food ingredients, conventional foods, dietary supplements, and medical foods; pharmaceuticals, both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs; medical device products; cosmetics; and FDA-regulated clinical research.

  • Experienced attorney with at least 8 to 10 years’ experience with FDA-regulated products to join our highly regarded Product Regulation practice. 
  • Qualified candidates will have experience in the FDA regulation of food, drug, and medical devices, including counseling clients regarding the FDA regulatory system for review and authorization, how to respond to enforcement actions, and strategies for submissions of comment on proposed rulemaking.

      • International Trade Analyst for our Washington, DC office
      • At least 2 years of regulatory experience with antidumping and/or countervailing duty proceedings
      • Law or consulting firm experience a plus

        • Seeking a motivated applicant who is able to utilize their strong chemistry background to analyze and interpret complex chemical and pesticide regulations and support a legal team in cases related to notifications, reporting, registration, testing, risk evaluations and risk management. 
        • Review and identify chemical substances, evaluate scientific data, prepare notifications and expert reports, and provide technical and regulatory feedback to build strong case strategies.
        • Understanding of and ability to use CAS and IUPAC nomenclature, EPA databases such as ChemView, SRS, TSCA Inventory, NPIRS, EPISuite, and ChemSteer, and use PubMed, ECHA REACH, and other databases to locate and evaluate relevant peer reviewed literature and unpublished health and safety studies.
        • Ability to objectively analyze large amounts of information, assess deficiencies and information gaps, determine factors are relevant, and propose correct chemical determinations and regulatory solutions.
        • The idea candidate is able to quickly and accurately present relevant data, both in writing and orally, and explain technical information to non-scientists in a way that is readily understandable.
        • A Ph.D. in organic or inorganic chemistry is required. Prior and productive working relationships with federal EPA chemical and pesticide offices and personnel are required.
        • The base salary for this position is expected to be between $150,000 to $180,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
