Pay-to-Play Re-Registration Required in Illinois

The Illinois State Board of Elections has completed work on its electronic business registration system. As a result, the Board has informed those vendors and prospective vendors already registered on paper under the state's pay-to-play statute that they must re-register electronically by September 30, 2009, to remain in compliance. New registrants also are to use the electronic system.
