Wiley Rein Attorneys Discuss 2013 FCPA Enforcement in Article

Wiley Rein attorneys Daniel B. Pickard, Ralph J. Caccia, Gregory M. Williams, Laura El-Sabaawi, and Brandon J. Moss authored an article, “The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: 2013 Year-in-Review,” which was published this month in Bloomberg BNA's International Trade Daily.

The attorneys note that U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission demonstrated a distinct “quality” versus “quantity” enforcement approach to FCPA matters.  One notable takeaway from last year, the article reports, is an increased focus on the prosecution of individuals.  In giving a detailed analysis of the Government's FCPA action, the Wiley Rein team concludes that 2014 promises to bring more of the same.
