Maryland Pay-to-Play Report Due May 31

May 23, 2023

Please note that Maryland’s semiannual pay-to-play report is due on May 31 from certain state and local government contractors, even if no reportable contributions have been made. A person or entity that spends at least $500 in lobbyist compensation during the reporting period (November 1, 2022-April 30, 2023) is also required to file a semiannual report. The report must disclose certain political contributions made by the filer, officers, board members, and directors of the filer and certain subsidiaries and affiliates.

Several other states, including Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, also have periodic reporting requirements for government contractors. For more information on pay-to-play reporting requirements, please contact the author listed on this alert.
