Profile
Michael counsels and represents government contractors and subcontractors on a broad range of legal issues, including bid protests, contract claims and disputes, national security, intellectual property, government investigations, and compliance issues.
Prior to joining Wiley, Michael spent nearly five years working for a defense contractor in Arlington, VA, supporting a U.S. Department of Defense advanced research and development agency. During his time as a contractor, he served in the agency’s Office of General Counsel as a Law Clerk for nearly three years, and gained valuable experience involving non-FAR based acquisitions, multiparty transactions and negotiation, novel technology initiatives, intellectual property protections, and ethics compliance. Additionally, Michael draws upon his two-year experience as a contracts specialist for the agency in facilitating multi-million-dollar acquisitions and transactions, including support of the agency’s participation in Operation Warp Speed for the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
