Press Release

Rand Allen Named the Area's "Leading Government Contracts Lawyer" by Legal Times

December 6, 2004

Washington, DC-Rand L. Allen, Chair of Wiley Rein & Fielding's Government Contracts Practice, has been recognized by his peers as the "Leading Government Contracts Lawyer" in the Washington, D.C. area. The honor was the culmination of an extensive process that began with Legal Times' selection-based on numerous interviews with area attorneys and clients-of more than 100 "Leading Lawyers" in eight practice areas. Legal Times then solicited votes from members of the legal community to single out one attorney in each discipline to receive this top honor. The results of the balloting were announced by Legal Times at a December 1 awards ceremony.

Allen leads more than 25 WRF attorneys and consultants in handling every aspect of government contracting, including bid protests, disputes, commercial litigation, terminations, mergers and acquisitions, procurement fraud investigations, suspension and debarment and regulatory issues. He serves as the "go-to" counsel for industry on some of the highest-profile matters.
