Wiley Rein & Fielding Partner Honored as a “Servant of Justice”

Washington, DC –Wiley Rein & Fielding partner Theodore A. Howard has been selected by the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia as a recipient of its 17th Annual Servant of Justice Award.  The award recognizes superior dedication and achievement in ensuring equal and meaningful access to justice in the District of Columbia.

Mr. Howard was chosen based on his commitment to pro bono work.  “While maintaining a commercial practice that has earned him the title of one of America’s Best Business Lawyers, he has worked tirelessly on a diverse set of pro bono,” read the nomination, noting that his work has included “many of the most challenging issues in public interest law.” 

In addition to his extensive Insurance practice, Mr. Howard serves as an advisor to WRF colleagues on housing and family law cases, and has served as the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the District of Columbia Prisoners’ Legal Services Project since 1995.
