Wiley Rein & Fielding Announces Six New Partners
Wiley Rein & Fielding is pleased to announce the election of six new Partners to the firm, effective January 1, 2007. Joining the partnership are Eric Andreas, Leslie D. Curran, Scott D. Delacourt, Eve Klindera Reed, Roderick L. Thomas and Joshua S. Turner.

Introducing the firm's newest partners:
Eric Andreas, a former marine geologist with the United States Geological Survey, joined the firm in 2005 as a founding member of the Chemicals, Safety & Environment Practice and handles a variety of matters under a wide range of Federal environmental regulatory statutes. He is experienced in all phases of litigation and has defended environmental and hazardous materials transportation enforcement cases around the nation. Mr. Andreas also represents companies in connection with complex pesticide regulatory and data sharing disputes. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Pace University School of Law.
Leslie Curran, an associate with the firm's Franchise Practice, counsels franchisors, licensors and manufacturers domestically and internationally on the transactional, regulatory and intellectual property issues involved in developing, expanding and maintaining franchise programs. She is an active member of the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising. Ms. Curran received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Scott Delacourt, formerly Deputy Bureau Chief and Chief of Staff of the Federal Communications Commission's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, began his legal career as an associate with WRF and, after serving at the FCC, returned to the firm as Of Counsel to the Communications Practice. He has a broad regulatory and transactional practice focusing on wireless, broadband and privacy matters. Mr. Delacourt received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
Eve Reed, a member of the firm's Communications Practice, represents communications and broadcast clients. She handles a wide variety of matters before federal and state courts and the Federal Communications Commission. Ms. Reed joined WRF as an associate following a clerkship for the Honorable Marvin J. Garbis of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She received her J.D., with highest honors, from The George Washington University Law School.
Rod Thomas joined WRF as Of Counsel after serving for more than a decade in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, DC. A litigator in WRF's White Collar Defense and Government Contracts Practices, he has extensive experience in federal and internal investigations and prosecutions as well as civil litigation. After receiving his J.D. from Yale Law School, Mr. Thomas clerked for the Honorable Albert J. Engel, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Josh Turner began his legal career as an associate with the firm's Communications Practice. Mr. Turner represents carriers and other parties in the telecommunications industry in proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission, as well as in federal and state court actions. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
