WRF Bankruptcy Attorneys Mark 10 Years of Board Certification

November 8, 2002

Washington, DC-The American Board of Certification (ABC) announced that WRF Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Partners H. Jason Gold and Valerie Morrison have been certified by the organization for ten consecutive years. Both attorneys were in the board's first class of certified attorneys in 1992.

The American Board of Certification, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditors' rights bar, administers the only national attorney certification programs in business bankruptcy, consumer bankruptcy and creditors' rights law. To become certified, Mr. Gold and Ms. Morrison passed a comprehensive examination and satisfied other rigorous requirements. In addition, they had to maintain considerable continuing legal education hours in their specialty.

Mr. Gold, as Partner and Chair of the firm's Bankruptcy Practice, has over 23 years of experience counseling clients on restructuring and insolvency matters including chapter 11 litigation, distressed asset sales, complex financial restructuring and creditors' rights litigation.

Ms. Morrison, a leading Partner in the Bankruptcy Practice, represents diverse clients in financial restructuring matters, complex chapter 11 reorganization cases and bankruptcy litigation.

WRF's Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Group is comprised of board certified business bankruptcy lawyers, former judicial clerks to bankruptcy judges and bankruptcy trustees with years of experience inside the courtroom and at the planning table. The attorneys have represented virtually every type of constituent involved in financial restructurings and chapter 11 cases, including lenders, debtors-in-possession, creditors' committees, bankruptcy trustees, bond trustees, government authorities, landlords, and purchasers of debt and distressed assets.

The group works closely with the firm's other practice areas such as Telecommunications, Insurance, and Business & Finance.
