February 6, 2023

Washington, DC – Wiley has selected partner Sara M. Baxenberg for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's (LCLD) 2023 Fellows Program, and associate Amaru J. Sánchez for membership in the 2023 class of LCLD Pathfinders.

Baxenberg, a partner in Wiley's Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT) Practice, has extensive experience counseling companies in telecommunications, mass media, uncrewed aircraft systems, and emerging technology on a variety of regulatory, litigation, transactional, and compliance matters. As an LCLD Fellow, she will participate in a year-long, in-depth program that provides mentorship and career guidance for the legal industry's next generation of leaders.

Sánchez, an associate in the firm’s Food & Drug and Environment & Product Regulation practices, counsels domestic and global companies across a range of industries in complex matters involving products regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and relevant state agencies.

“Sara and Amaru have made our firm’s core values surrounding inclusion central to their legal practices, and we are thrilled that they will represent Wiley as this year's LCLD Fellow and Pathfinder,” said Chief Diversity Officer Rashida MacMurray-Abdullah. “We are proud of our eight-year partnership with LCLD, and we share the organization’s dedication to creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive legal profession."

For the past two consecutive years, Wiley has received the Compass Award from LCLD, which consists of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are committed to building a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.
