Wiley Advises Venture Technologies Group and VCY America in Strategic Transactions

Washington, DC – Wiley Rein LLP represented Venture Technologies Group in its sale of New York, NY television station WHTV-LD and Oakwood Hills, IL television station WCHU-LD to Bridge News for $8 million. The Wiley team advising Venture Technologies Group was led by Corporate partner Jerita L. DeBraux Salley, who served as deal counsel, and Telecom, Media & Technology partner Joan Stewart.

A team from Wiley also represented VCY America, Inc., in the purchase of Adult R&B “Mix 106.3” WUBU South Bend from John Dille III’s Partnership Radio for $425,000. Following completion of the transaction on November 9, 2023, VCY America changed the call sign to WVSB. VCY America will operate the station under a non-commercial FM license serving the South Bend, Indiana market. The Wiley team advising VCY America was led by Corporate partner Jerita L. DeBraux Salley, who served as deal counsel, and Telecom, Media & Technology partners Wayne D. Johnsen and Kathryne C. Dickerson, who served as regulatory counsel. The team also recently advised VCY America in its acquisition of Wilmington, DE radio station WJBR-FM 99.5 from Beasley Media Group.
