Named ‘Legal Services Provider of the Year’ for Four Years Running
July 24, 2020

Washington, DC – For the fourth consecutive year, Wiley Rein LLP has been named “Legal Services Provider of the Year” by Fastmarkets as part of its annual Global Awards for Steel Excellence. The honor, announced yesterday at Fastmarkets’ virtual awards ceremony, recognized the outstanding achievements of the firm’s International Trade Practice, chaired by Alan H. Price.

Winners in 23 categories were selected from 90 finalists spanning the steel industry chain in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The finalists for this year’s steel awards were featured in the May issue of Fastmarkets’ Metal Market Magazine.

The Awards for Steel Excellence – previously presented under the American Metal Market (AMM) name – is one of the most prestigious and recognizable awards programs for the global steel industry. The honorees are recognized for their world-class innovation and outstanding performance in steel and related industries. Nominations are reviewed and evaluated by a panel of judges with extensive steel industry leadership experience, using a point-based qualitative approach to determine the overall winners.

Wiley has one of the nation’s largest and most diverse International Trade Practices, advocating for U.S. steel companies that find their very existence threatened by foreign governments’ unfair trade practices. The group includes more than 50 people, including more than 30 lawyers, dedicated international trade advisors, economic analysts, and former U.S. government officials. While best known for trade policy work, the team has transformed the engagement of trade remedy proceedings for the U.S. steel industry with new and innovative proceedings.

The complete list of winners can be seen here.
